How to Vote

To vote in South Carolina, residents must first register to vote either online through the South Carolina State Election Commission website, by mail, or in person at their county board of voter registration and elections office. On Election Day, voters can cast their ballot at their assigned polling place, or they may vote early in person during the early voting period; all voters must present a valid photo ID, such as a South Carolina driver's license or state ID card, when voting in person.
