How to Vote

To vote in Rhode Island, residents must register by October 7, 2028, either online through the Rhode Island Secretary of State's website, by mail, or in person at their local board of canvassers. On Election Day, voters can cast ballots at their assigned polling place from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM; early voting is available from October 21 to November 4, 2028, at designated locations. Voters must present a valid ID, such as a Rhode Island driver's license, state ID, or voter ID card, or sign an affidavit if they lack ID.
