How to Vote

Rhode Island residents can register to vote online via the Secretary of State's website, by mail, or in person at their local board of canvassers. Voters may cast ballots in person on Election Day, during the early voting period at designated sites, or by requesting a mail ballot without needing an excuse. Valid photo ID is required for in-person voting, though voters without ID may sign an affidavit and cast a provisional ballot.
