How to Vote

To vote in the Rhode Island primary, registered voters must be affiliated with a party to participate in that party's primary; unaffiliated voters may choose a party primary at the polls. Voters can cast ballots in person on Election Day, during the early voting period from May 25 to June 4, 2028, or by mail-in ballot if they request one by May 28, 2028. Valid photo ID is required at the polls, and registration must be completed by May 6, 2028, either online, by mail, or in person.
