How to Vote

Rhode Island residents can register to vote online through the Secretary of State's website, by mail, or in person at their local board of canvassers. Voters may cast ballots in person on Election Day, during the early voting period from October 22 to November 1, 2026, or by requesting a mail ballot, which must be returned by close of polls on Election Day. Valid photo ID is required for in-person voting, but voters without ID may still vote by signing an affidavit.
