To vote in Rhode Island, residents must register by October 6, 2026, either online via the Secretary of State's website, by mail, or in person at their local board of canvassers. On Election Day, polling places are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM; voters must present a valid photo ID such as a Rhode Island driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID, or sign an affidavit if they lack ID. Early voting is available from October 19 to November 1, 2026, at designated locations in each city and town.
