To vote in Rhode Island, residents must register by October 4, 2026, either online, by mail, or in person at their local board of canvassers. On Election Day or during early voting (October 21–November 1), voters can cast ballots at assigned polling places or early voting centers; a valid photo ID is required, but voters without ID may sign an affidavit and cast a provisional ballot.
