How to Vote

Pennsylvania voters can register online through the Department of State's website, by mail, or in person at county voter registration offices. Registered voters may vote in person on Election Day at their assigned polling place, request a mail-in ballot (no excuse required), or vote during the in-person early voting period at designated county election offices or satellite locations. Voters must present a valid form of identification, such as a Pennsylvania driver's license, PennDOT ID card, U.S. passport, military ID, student ID, or employee ID, when voting in person for the first time or if required by federal law.
