To vote in the 2028 Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board Election, residents must first register to vote by October 13, 2028, either online through the NC State Board of Elections portal, by mail, or in person at a county board of elections office. On Election Day, voters can cast their ballot at their assigned polling place from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM ET, or participate in early voting from October 17 to November 5, 2028, at designated sites across Mecklenburg County. Voters must show an acceptable form of photo ID, such as a North Carolina driver's license, state ID, or U.S. passport, unless exempt under state law.
