To vote in the New Hanover County Schools Board Election, North Carolina residents must register by October 5, 2026, either online through the NC State Board of Elections portal, by mail, or in person at their county board of elections office. On Election Day or during early voting (October 17–November 2, 2026), voters must present a valid photo ID, such as a North Carolina driver’s license or state ID, at their assigned polling place.
