How to Vote

To vote in North Carolina, residents must register by October 10, 2026, either online via the NC State Board of Elections portal, by mail, or in person at a county board of elections office or DMV. On Election Day, voters can cast ballots at their assigned polling place from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM EST; acceptable photo ID includes a North Carolina driver's license, state ID, or passport. Early voting is available from October 15 to November 2 at designated sites across Wake County, and absentee-by-mail ballots must be requested by October 27 and returned by 7:30 PM on Election Day.
