How to Vote

To vote in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board Election, residents must first register to vote by October 10, 2026, either online through the North Carolina State Board of Elections portal, by mail, or in person at designated registration sites. On Election Day, November 3, 2026, voters can cast their ballots at assigned polling places from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM EST, or during the early voting period from October 20 to November 2, 2026, at any early voting site in Mecklenburg County. Acceptable photo ID includes a North Carolina driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID; voters without ID may complete an ID exception form and vote provisionally.
