How to Vote

To vote in New Mexico, voters must register by October 6, 2028, either online through the New Mexico Secretary of State's website, by mail, or in person at a county clerk's office. On Election Day, November 7, 2028, voters can cast their ballots at assigned polling places from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM MT; early voting begins October 14 and runs through November 5, with expanded hours and locations. Voters must present valid photo ID, such as a driver's license, state ID, tribal ID, or passport, or execute an affidavit of identity if lacking ID.
