How to Vote

To vote in New Mexico's 2026 general election, eligible residents must register by October 8, 2026, either online through the New Mexico Secretary of State's voter portal, by mail, or in person at a county clerk's office or Motor Vehicle Division location. On Election Day, November 3, 2026, voters can cast ballots at their assigned polling place from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM MT, or during early voting from October 17 to November 2, 2026, at designated voting centers; voters must present valid ID if registering for the first time by mail, and all voters may be asked to show identification unless they have voted in New Mexico before.
