How to Vote

To vote in the Newark mayoral election, residents must be registered by April 22, 2026. Voters can cast ballots in person on Election Day at their assigned polling place, during the early voting period from April 26 to May 10, 2026, or by requesting a vote-by-mail ballot through the Essex County Clerk's office. Valid photo ID is required for first-time voters who registered by mail; otherwise, no ID is needed to vote in person.
