How to Vote

To vote in New Jersey's primary elections, registered voters must be affiliated with a party to participate in that party's primary; unaffiliated voters can declare a party at the polls. Voters can cast ballots in person on Election Day, during the early voting period, or by mail-in ballot after submitting an application. Valid ID is required for first-time voters or if voting in a new polling place; acceptable forms include a driver's license, state ID, military ID, or passport.
