How to Vote

To vote in the Rochester City Council Election, Minnesota residents must first be registered to vote. Registration can be completed online through the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website, by mail, or in person at local election offices. On Election Day, voters can cast their ballots at assigned polling places, or vote early in person or by absentee ballot starting September 18, 2026. Voters are not required to show ID unless they are first-time voters who registered by mail and did not provide identification when registering.
