How to Vote
Michigan residents can register to vote online, by mail, or in person at their local clerk's office up to and including Election Day. Voters must present a valid photo ID at the polls; acceptable IDs include a Michigan driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID. Early voting is available from July 26 to August 4, 2025, at designated sites across Detroit, and absentee ballots can be requested without excuse.

Angelique Powell is a lifelong Detroiter and parent of two DPSCD students who has served as a PTA president and education advocate for over a decade. She is running to improve school safety, increase mental health resources, and ensure equitable funding across all district schools.
Many Muslim and Arab American voters are leaning toward third-party candidates or not voting, feeling neither main candidate values their families' lives. Others are choosing between Harris and Trump.
